Fashion Field Trip

I spent the first part of the week in Atlanta at the fashion market. They don't necessarily carry college items, unless you are an Alabama or a Tennessee, or even Ol' Miss. So I'm basically there shopping for color, and after several seasons of plentiful Kelly Green, this year the themes would be best suited for schools that have "brown" as their main color (approximately four, while Kelly Green is exactly three).  Even the generic "Game Day" items are hard to track down in Kelly,  But there seem to be some styles for late summer, so we won't be completely naked. Plus, it's probably going to be 90 degrees until the middle of October so who needs sleeves?

The other issue is a continuing contraction of fit. We all know Plus sized items are hard to come by and its getting harder. Several vendors have dropped their Plus lines altogether, and the misses lines are just taking the "size it up" tactic. "It's oversized, so the Plus customer can wear it."  They don't understand that we want things in our size, not hope to fit the oversized.  But, that's the lay of the land and we're going to do our best to work within it. I don't know...do y'all get excited when you can wear a Large, or do you want your own line?

I did manage to pick up a couple of women's sweater vests (an ongoing request) and a few other pieces that will ship around the end of July.  The 'J" months are the hardest, as it's hot, there are no sports and everyone is just waiting until Fall to buy their new stuff. Keep checking back as we'll be adding pieces for hot weather and as accessories continue to show up.  Earrings are always cool.
