Sara's Fit Note: I am a size 2X, 5'8" 230 lbs. I opted for the 1X on this piece, as the back is smocked and my bottom half is bigger than my top. The 2X was too big in the bust and there is plenty of room on bottom so I also advise you to fit your bust and let the skirt fall where it may. The shoulder straps sit right at the edge of my shoulders. The waist is not tight, but there is also no stretch in this dress. That being said, this is a well-constructed, lovely dress and I give the fit a B.
